The work was carefully considered for the site, the horizon line of the sculpture relating to the distant horizon line of the sea. At the same time this is a sculpture very much out of the Australian landscape, my intention deliberately was to take a sculpture Australian in form and feel to Europe - to reverse the cultural exchange, where work from Australia informs and adds to the ongoing development of sculpture in Europe" I do not believe this work would have been made in a European context" - Greg Johns.
