Seaing the Land - Feeling the Land (Bottle Tree) installed at Lockhaven Reserve, City of Casey on Thursday 3rd November. Inspired by my drawings of bottle and boab trees which say so much about the Australian landscape. The sculpture softens the harsh lines of the housing development by its organic form. A bronze casting of a bottle tree seed and a stainless steel boat form speak of pre-colonial and post-colonial arrival.
